PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA
The Renewal Conference Centre is the property of Evangelical Baptist Church – Sofia 1, hereinafter referred to as “EBC – Sofia 1” only. EBC – Sofia 1 is a religious institution registered in the Register of Religions under the Federal Law Treaty No. 1666/2003 according to the GHS inventory, which consists of local divisions /churches/.
This communication is intended in accordance with the information requirements of art. 13 and art. 14 of the GDPR to inform you about the personal data processing activities performed by the EBC – Sofia 1, the purposes for which the data are processed, the measures and guarantees for the protection of the processed data, your rights and the way you can exercise them in accordance with the requirements of EU Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27.04.2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46 / EC (below, only “Regulation 2016/679” or “HMD”) and other applicable acts of the European Union and the Republic of Bulgaria.

EBC – Sofia 1 is the administrator of the personal data processed at or on the occasion of the exercise of the powers assigned to it by the law and the statute, with the seat and address of management being city of Sofia and address of management: city of Sofia, Osogovo str. 63 – to which address you can mail requests to EBC – Sofia 1 as a data administrator.

- Purposes and grounds for processing personal data, categories of processed data
The processing of data is carried out for the specific and precisely defined purposes by the law, the data is being processed lawfully and in good faith and cannot be further processed in a way incompatible with these purposes.
- Categories of recipients of data outside the EBC – Sofia 1
EBC – Sofia 1 does not disclose personal data to third parties and recipients unless there is a legal basis for receiving the data or the data is not publicly available due to its inclusion in a public register.
Unless the data on the public register is publicly available, recipients of data on a case by case basis may be:

State bodies and bodies entrusted with public functions within the scope of their powers (court, NRA, NSSI, Ministry of Interior, etc.);

Banks for the purposes of payment of remuneration;
- Data retention period
As an administrator, EBC – Sofia 1 processes data for a minimum period of time in accordance with the processing objectives and provided for in the applicable legislation in accordance with the principle of storage restriction.
For a period of 50 years, data related to employment and legal relations, data in the registers of members, manuals, marriages and water baptisms are stored. The archive of decisions for imposing disciplinary sanctions on complaints is stored for 15 years, and the remaining data is stored for a period of 2 months up to 5 years, according to the type of data that defines the legal obligation to process, including their storage.
- Rights of individuals data subjects
The measures taken to protect personal data, in accordance with the requirements of Regulation 2016/679, are aimed at securing the rights of the persons whose personal data is processed, namely:
- Right of access;
- Right to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Right of erasure (right to be forgotten), if the conditions of Art. 17 of REGULATION 2016/679 apply;
- Right to a restriction on processing;
- Right of portability of data, if the conditions for portability under Art. 20 of REGULATION 2016/679 are met;
- Right of objection, if the conditions of art. 21 of REGULATION 2016/679 are met;
- The right of the data subject not to be the subject of a decision based only on automated processing including profiling.
You can exercise the above rights by making a request to EBC – Sofia 1 (in writing or electronically) stating your specific request.
- Right of appeal to the Data Protection Commission or to the court
If you believe that your rights under Regulation 2016/679 have been infringed, you may file a complaint with the Data Protection Commission or the relevant Administrative Court.
- Transmission of personal data to third countries or international organizations
EBC – Sofia 1 does not transmit processed personal data to third countries or international organizations.

The Internal Rules of the EBC – Sofia 1 on the measures for personal data protection, adopted by a Decision on 11.06.2019 of the Effective Management of EBC – Sofia 1, introduced measures for effective protection of the processed personal data and the possibility of exercising the rights of the subjects of data provided for in REGULATION 2016/679.
